As our parents, grandparents and other
loved ones get older, the roles of the giving and receiving care will turn
upside down. These aging senior relatives often live some distance away, but we
still try to make our best to help them in their old age, even if the day to
day life will place its challenges for taking care of them. In western world
the senior care has been mostly taken over by the state and the society, but
despite the advanced systems of elderly care, senior people still do need help
from their younger relatives. Especially experiences of loneliness and being
set aside from the society are the problems that seniors face and in which
relatives are in the key position.
